Your questions,
answered.
What’s the difference between a scan and a penetration test?
A vulnerability assessment establishes a baseline of known weaknesses. A penetration test investigates selected systems and workflows more deeply to validate exploitability and business impact. We help choose a scope that answers your actual question.
How long does an engagement take?
Timing depends on your assets, access requirements and depth of testing. We agree on the scope, testing window and report delivery before the engagement begins. Share your deadline when requesting an assessment.
Will testing affect our production systems?
We agree on the environment and permitted techniques in advance, along with operating constraints and an escalation contact. A representative test environment may be suitable. Production testing needs explicit authorization and a clear plan for managing disruption risk.
Can you help after the report is delivered?
Remediation discussions and retesting can be included in the agreed scope. The goal is to help your team understand the findings, prioritize fixes and verify the changes.
Does a penetration test make us compliant?
Testing can support a security or compliance program, but a penetration test is not a certification and does not establish compliance on its own. Share any customer or audit requirements so we can align the deliverables.
